Volleyball Recap: Deerfield Beach's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Deerfield Beach suffered their biggest loss since August 21, 2024 on Wednesday. They came up short against the Cooper City Cowboys, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bucks of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Deerfield Beach took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-12, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Jordan Thomas and Giovanna Campos, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Audrianna Calvet and her six assists. Ayva Rowley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Deerfield Beach fell to 2-1. As for Cooper City, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Deerfield Beach will challenge Coral Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Bucks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Cooper City, they will take on Hollywood Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
