Volleyball Recap: Queen Creek Comes Up Short

Queen Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Westwood Warriors, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

While Queen Creek was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 25-22.

Brock Harris paced Queen Creek's offense, picking up nine kills. Harris got some help from Lukas DeWitt and his 24 assists. Orlando Petrie controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Queen Creek's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Westwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Queen Creek will challenge Williams Field at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westwood, they will square off against Red Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
