Softball Recap: Brushton-Moira Takes a Loss

Brushton-Moira couldn't beat Tupper Lake on Monday even though they stacked eight runs on them in the fifth inning. The Panthers fell just short of the Lumberjacks by a score of 16-15. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sophie DeBeer led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Mallory Dabiew also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Brushton-Moira's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Tupper Lake, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coincidentally, Brushton-Moira and Tupper Lake will both be playing Madrid-Waddington the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Yellowjackets at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Lumberjacks will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
