Garfield unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Alliance Aviators on Friday, falling 3-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

While Garfield was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Alliance's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 25-23.

Garfield has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Barberton on the 19th. As for Alliance, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against United on the 18th.
