Pine Ridge piles up the points against St. Francis Indian

Recap: Pine Ridge Thorpes vs. St. Francis Indian Warriors

Make it three blowout wins for the Pine Ridge Thorpes this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat St. Francis Indian 80-48 on the road. That looming 80-48 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Pine Ridge yet this season.

Marvin Richard lll was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Richard lll is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Domonic Ghost Bear was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five assists and four steals.

St. Francis Indian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was John Gunhammer, who scored 16 points. Gunhammer hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Cante Kills In Water, who scored 14 points.

Pine Ridge pushed their record up to 7-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for St. Francis Indian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine Ridge will take on Campbell County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Campbell County is ranked 14th in Wyoming, while Pine Ridge is ranked eighth in South Dakota). As for St. Francis Indian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Todd County at 3:15 p.m.
