Bingham's game on Thursday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. Everything went their way against the Layton Lancers as they made off with a 60-39 win. The Miners haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bingham to victory, but perhaps none more so than Veanna Pau'u, who went 5-for-9 on her way to 15 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Evalyn Roberts, who shot 42% from the field en route to 13 points and three steals.

Bingham was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Layton only posted five.

Layton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Hadley Collier, who posted 14 points, and Kenley Bennie, who had seven points and five steals. Bennie is becoming a predictor of the Lancers' success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 2-1 (and 0-3 when she doesn't).

Bingham's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Layton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Bingham will challenge Provo at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Miners' defense better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 61 points per game this season. As for Layton, they will face off against Northridge at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
