Softball Recap: Rainier Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Rainier and Banks have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Columbians came up short against the Braves, falling 17-1. The loss continues a trend for the Columbians in their meetings with the Braves: they've now lost three in a row.

Rainier now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Banks, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6-1 record this season.

While Rainier had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
