Chase Schroeder leads a balanced attack to beat Tri County Northeast

Recap: Wynot Blue Devils vs. Tri County Northeast Wolfpack

There's no place like home for the Wynot Blue Devils, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They took down Tri County Northeast 52-34 on Thursday. Given Wynot's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Tri County Northeast is ranked 201st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wynot to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chase Schroeder, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Carson Wieseler, who scored seven points.

Tri County Northeast lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hunter Heikes, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Dickens, who scored six points.

Tri County Northeast struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Wynot has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Tri County Northeast, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wynot won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Pender on January 5th. Pender is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Tri County Northeast, they will head out on the road to face off against Winnebago on Tuesday. Winnebago is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
