Soccer Game Preview: Pine Forest vs. Escambia

Pine Forest hasn't had much luck against Escambia recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Pine Forest Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Escambia Gators at 6:00 p.m.

Pine Forest is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Monday. They lost 13-0 to Milton. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 522nd, while the Panthers are ranked 259th).

Meanwhile, Escambia kept a clean sheet against Pensacola back in December of 2024. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over the Tigers. The Gators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Pensacola from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Lily Stringfellow led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Escambia is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those five matchups. As for Pine Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Pine Forest suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Escambia in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Pine Forest avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
