Basketball Recap: Sardis Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Sardis fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 72-63 victory over the Gaston Bulldogs on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sardis has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-14 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Gaston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.

Sardis has already played their next game (against Glencoe), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Gaston will square off against Cedar Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st. Cedar Bluff is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.2 points per game this season.
