After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bellevue East, Blair was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They skirted past the Elkhorn Antlers 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Bears: when they faced off against the Antlers two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Lucas Matejka spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Blair's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Murray, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. Colton Nixon also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

With the victory, Blair broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-10. As for Elkhorn, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Blair has already played their next matchup, a 6-2 defeat against Norris on the 15th. As for Elkhorn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Gretna on the 15th.
