Madison West scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a hard 101-84 fall against the Sun Prairie East Cardinals. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (61), the Regents still had to take the loss.

Madison West is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points per game. As for Sun Prairie East, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be Eastside v. Westside when Madison West and Madison East meet at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Madison West is facing Madison East at the right time seeing as Madison East is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Sun Prairie East, they will welcome Vel Phillips Memorial at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Vel Phillips Memorial knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Sun Prairie East likes a good challenge.
