Basketball Recap: Penfield Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Penfield lost to Brighton back in February of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Penfield Patriots enjoyed a cozy 67-49 win over the Brighton Bruins. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Bruins are ranked 233rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory (which was Penfield's eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Brighton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
