Softball Game Preview: Princeton Vikings vs. Mason Comets

Princeton hasn't had much luck against Mason recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Vikings will welcome the Comets at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Princeton is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Oak Hills on Thursday. They came up short against the Highlanders, falling 12-2.

Hamilton hit Mason with a ten-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Comets lost 16-6 to the Big Blue. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Comets have suffered since April 3rd.

Brooklyn Adkins was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Becca Zellner was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Mason's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Princeton, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.
