Fort Lupton hadn't done well against Jefferson Academy recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Bluedevils had just enough and edged out the Jaguars 2-1. This was payback for the Bluedevils, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Kyleigh Taylor paced Fort Lupton's offense, picking up nine kills. Taylor got some help from Genesis Diaz and her 15 assists. Lindsey Romero controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Despite the loss, Jefferson Academy had strong showings from Tailey Sengdara, who had ten digs, and Sora Greenzweig, who had six digs and one assist. Hailey Totems also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Fort Lupton's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Jefferson Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Fort Lupton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Aspen on the 27th. As for Jefferson Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Fort Morgan on the 27th.
