Basketball Game Preview: John Hay vs. John Adams Rebels

John Hay has gone 7-0 against John Adams recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. John Hay will head out to face off against the John Adams Rebels at 7:00 p.m. John Hay's defense has only allowed 27.4 points per game this season, so John Adams' offense will have their work cut out for them.

John Adams is hoping to do what Brookside couldn't on Saturday: put an end to John Hay's winning streak, which now stands at three games. John Hay managed a 51-47 victory over Brookside. Given John Hay's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 274th, while Brookside is ranked 636th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

John Hay found their leader in sophomore Jordyn Webb, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. Webb is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Carly Fisher, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.

Meanwhile, John Adams came into Friday's match having lost 17 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 27-19 win over East Tech on Friday.

John Hay pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for John Adams, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.
