Salida barely beat St. Mary the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans blew past the Pirates 3-0 on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on five straight.

Salida walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-12, 25-16.

Salida can attribute much of their success to Cooper Fisher, who had 11 digs and three aces. What's more, Fisher posted two assists, the most she's had since back in September.

Fisher wasn't the only good servers: Salida was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Mary's only served one.

Salida's record is now 13-6. As for St. Mary's, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Salida will take on rival Manitou Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, St. Mary's is set to face off against their familiar foe The Vanguard School at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
