Football Recap: Cordova Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cordova dropped to 3-5 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They had to suffer through a 62-0 loss at the hands of the Destiny Christian Academy Lions. Considering the last time the Lancers couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Trey Wallace threw for 35 yards on five of 14 attempts.

As for Destiny Christian Academy, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Destiny Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was K'Aden Minor, who rushed for 65 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries. The dominant performance also gave Minor a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Another back making a difference was Zion Ditmore, who rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns.

Looking ahead, Cordova will square off against Davis Sr. at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers will be up against the Blue Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.13 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Destiny Christian Academy, they will challenge Antelope at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
