Softball Recap: Spring Creek Comes Up Short

Spring Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-2 to the Chico Panthers.

Spring Creek saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Payne, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Spring Creek's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Chico, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Spring Creek will take on Red Bluff at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Spring Creek's pitchers better be ready for this one: Red Bluff has averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Chico, they will square off against Fernley at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
