Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Red Devils vs. Landrum Cardinals

Liberty is 0-10 against Landrum since January of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Liberty Red Devils will look to defend their home court against the Landrum Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, it was close, but Liberty sidestepped Brookland-Cayce for a 30-28 win.

Liberty's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madison Henderson, who posted six points and 18 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Henderson a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Natalie White, who had 14 points.

Liberty smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in seven consecutive contests.

Landrum's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Greenville Tech Charter on Thursday. Landrum strolled past Brashier Middle College Charter with points to spare, taking the game 43-24. The team accrued 31 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.

Liberty has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-13 record this season. As for Landrum, they pushed their record up to 10-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
