Basketball Game Preview: Chrisman Cardinals vs. Watseka Warriors

The Chrisman Cardinals will head out on the road to square off against the Watseka Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chrisman has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 13.

Last Friday, Chrisman opened the new year with a less-than-successful 54-46 loss to Salt Fork. The Cardinals were down 45-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Watseka). They rang in the new year with a 61-53 win over South Newton on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Watseka's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Chrisman, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.

Chrisman beat Watseka 71-58 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chrisman since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
