Soccer Game Preview: Scotland vs. Lumberton

Scotland is 0-10 against Lumberton since September of 2017 but things could change on Wednesday. The Fighting Scots will head out to take on the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Monday, Scotland didn't have quite enough to beat Purnell Swett and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Lumberton was not quite Terry Sanford's equal in the second half on Monday. They fell 3-1 to the Bulldogs.

Lumberton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-1. As for Scotland, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Scotland suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Lumberton in their previous matchup on October 1st. Can the Fighting Scots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
