Horatio posted their closest victory since March 20, 2025 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Hope Bobcats 6-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-3 back in March.

Horatio has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Hope, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-20.

Coming up, Horatio will square off against Murfreesboro at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rattlers have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Hope, they will be playing at home against Magnolia at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
