The Jesuit Marauders will take on the Del Oro Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jesuit will be strutting in after a win while Del Oro will be coming in after a defeat.
On Friday, Jesuit earned a 24-14 victory over Oak Ridge. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Marauders.
Jesuit found their leader in sophomore Kwanna Smith, who rushed for 71 yards and one score on only eight carries. Luke De Lyser was in the mix too, providing the Marauders with one TD.
Jesuit's run defense was locked in: Oak Ridge could only muster three yards per carry. The team can thank Jace Bassett for the heroic effort on defense: he. Jesuit didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.8.
Jesuit's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. They received some extra help from De Lyser, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Del Oro after they claimed the first score on Friday, but it was Folsom who ended up claiming the real prize. The Golden Eagles took a hard 35-20 fall against the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked tenth).
The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Nolen Sauve and Ryder Lyons. Lyons had a great game and threw for 321 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt. Meanwhile, Sauve did his best for the losing side, rushing for 62 yards and a pair of scores, while also throwing for 136 yards on 13 of 27 attempts.

Jesuit's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Del Oro, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.
