Softball Game Preview: Clovis North Broncos vs. Hanford Bullpups

The Clovis North Broncos will be taking part in a tournament against the Hanford Bullpups at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Clovis North's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Hanford's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Nine must be Clovis North's lucky number: they beat Redwood with that score not once but twice on Monday. The Broncos walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Rangers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Broncos.

Clovis North let Jaelyn Clark and Zoey Thomas run wild. Clark went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Thomas scored two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Clark has posted since back in May of 2024. Kayleigh Lua also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Hanford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Pioneer Valley, falling 14-1.

Hanford's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10-1. As for Clovis North, their win bumped their record up to 13-4-1.
