Baseball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Maryvale's Ninth in Last 12 Outings

Maryvale had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Olean on Saturday. The Flyers blew past the Huskies 8-0. The result was nothing new for the Flyers, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Dominic Daly and Jameson McNeill did most of the damage at the plate: Daly got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while McNeill went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases Daly has posted over his last 11 games. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Hill, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Maryvale is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 16-5 record this season. As for Olean, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-6.

Coming up, Maryvale will square off against Dunkirk at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Olean does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
