Basketball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Chapin Huskies and fell 47-7. The match marked the Silver Foxes' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Chapin was led to victory by Autumn Blackwell and Jasmine Blake. Blackwell almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards, while Blake went 5 of 11 on her way to 10 points and three steals. Blake has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Wise, who posted three points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Chapin, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.

Jefferson will take on El Paso at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chapin, they will host Canutillo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
