Softball Game Preview: Quaker Valley Quakers vs. Avonworth Antelopes

For the first time this season, Quaker Valley will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Avonworth Antelopes at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Quaker Valley lost 8-1 to Keystone Oaks on Tuesday. The Quakers haven't had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Quaker Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gemma Wiegand, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Avonworth got the win against Hopewell on Monday by a conclusive 13-2. The result was nothing new for the Antelopes, who have now won three games by ten runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Avonworth and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Quaker Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
