Volleyball Game Preview: El Camino Eagles vs. Rio Linda Knights

The El Camino Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Rio Linda Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

El Camino proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Natomas 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won four contests in a row.

El Camino wouldn't go down easily and took Natomas into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 16-25, 20-25, 25-18, 16-14.

Meanwhile, Rio Linda entered their tilt with Westlake Charter on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Explorers.

El Camino's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Rio Linda, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5.

El Camino beat Rio Linda 3-1 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
