Basketball Game Preview: Kansas City Christian School Panthers vs. University Academy Charter Gryphons

Kansas City Christian School and University Academy Charter are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Kansas City Christian School Panthers will welcome the University Academy Charter Gryphons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Kansas City Christian School ended up a good deal behind Bishop Seabury Academy and lost 76-58. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Seahawks : they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, University Academy Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-56 heartbreaker at the hands of Lathrop. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Gryphons have suffered against the Mules since November 22, 2016.

University Academy Charter's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Kansas City Christian School, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Kansas City Christian School strolled past University Academy Charter when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 43-26. Will Kansas City Christian School repeat their success, or does University Academy Charter have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
