Basketball Recap: Jahleel Sanders' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cane Bay over Goose Creek

Cane Bay suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They came up short against the Goose Creek Gators, falling 72-49. The Cobras have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Several Cobras players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jahleel Sanders, who posted 12 points. Kevin Dukes was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Cane Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Goose Creek, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2.

Cane Bay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 53-38 victory against Wando on the 4th. As for Goose Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-37 win against Berkeley on the 4th.
