Baseball Recap: Shawnee Mission North Comes Up Short

Shawnee Mission North lost against Shawnee Mission West back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bison fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 3-2. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shawnee Mission North's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Shawnee Mission West, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shawnee Mission North will challenge Shawnee Mission South on Saturday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Bison's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Shawnee Mission West, they will take on Christ Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 2.2, the Patriots 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
