Football Recap: Crystal Springs Takes a Loss

Crystal Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Sacred Heart Crusaders 50-13.

Sacred Heart's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colter Garner led the charge by throwing for 146 yards and two TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground. The dominant performance also gave Garner a new career-high in passer rating (163.2). Owen Lin was in the mix too, providing Sacred Heart with one touchdown.

Crystal Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sacred Heart, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Crystal Springs will be playing at home against East Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sacred Heart, they will head out on the road to square off against Resurrection Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
