Preview: Round Rock Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Concordia Cardinals
The Round Rock Christian Academy Crusaders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Concordia Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Friday, Round Rock Christian Academy was the victim of a tough 52-30 loss at the hands of Live Oak Classical.
Meanwhile, Concordia pushed their score all the way to 38 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 47-38 to Faith Academy. While losing is never fun, Concordia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Faith Academy is ranked 100th).
Concordia's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Alexander Jones, who threw for 274 yards and three touchdowns, and Daniel Wolfmueller who gained 119 total yards and three touchdowns. Jones is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last seven games he's played. Henry Kalbas also helped out as he racked up 113 receiving yards.
Round Rock Christian Academy's defeat also dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Concordia, their defeat also dropped their record down to an identical 4-3.
Things could have been worse for Round Rock Christian Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-38 loss to Concordia when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Will Round Rock Christian Academy have more luck at home instead of on the road?
