Baseball Recap: Sky View Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Sky View and Green Canyon, and Sky View kept the tradition alive. Sky View walked away with a 6-3 victory over Green Canyon on Friday. That's two games straight that the Bobcats have won by exactly three runs.

Vincent Taylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, Sky View saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chance Christensen, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Christensen a new career-high. CJ Lofthouse was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Sky View's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Green Canyon, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Sky View will have a chance to go back-to-back against Green Canyon: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
