Volleyball Recap: West Boca Raton Comes Up Short

West Boca Raton and Monarch squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but West Boca Raton had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on April 8th.

Eduardo Prado paced West Boca Raton's offense, picking up 19 kills. Prado got some help from Sebastian Ochoa and his 29 assists. Finally, Vasyl Hlynskyy kept West Boca Raton's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

West Boca Raton has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season. As for Monarch, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

West Boca Raton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monarch, they will take on Boca Raton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
