Football Recap: Owensville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Owensville lost against St. Francis Borgia back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dutchmen lost 47-24 to the Knights. While losing is never fun, the Dutchmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Knights are ranked 83rd).

Lane Mallinckrodt was nothing short of spectacular for St. Francis Borgia: he rushed for 39 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 138 yards and two touchdowns.

Owensville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Francis Borgia, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Owensville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-8 loss against Eldon on the 12th. As for St. Francis Borgia, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 42-17 defeat against St. Dominic on the 12th.
