Recap: Jupiter Christian Eagles vs. Inlet Grove Hurricanes
The Jupiter Christian Eagles were the 65-37 winner over the Inlet Grove Hurricanes when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Jupiter Christian fell just short of Inlet Grove by a score of 51-48. While losing is never fun, Jupiter Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 317th, while Inlet Grove is ranked 131st).
Jupiter Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Barrett, who scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds. Conner Hoffman was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 13 rebounds.
Inlet Grove found their leader in underclassman Robert Brown , who scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least 25% of Inlet Grove's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Taylor, who scored 7 points.
Jupiter Christian now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Inlet Grove, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Jupiter Christian will head out on the road to face off against Benjamin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Inlet Grove, they will be playing at home against Somerset Academy - Canyons at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Somerset Academy - Canyons will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
