There's no place like home for Bolton Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Lake Placid Bombers 4-3. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jace Hubert spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bolton Central's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jaxon Egloff, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. William Hens also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Bolton Central now has a winning record of 5-4-1. As for Lake Placid, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bolton Central will face off against Schroon Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Lake Placid, they will take on Moriah at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. The Bombers are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
