Soccer Recap: Annandale Comes Up Short

After flying high against Meridian last Tuesday, Annandale came back down to earth. The Annandale Atoms took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Washington-Liberty Generals on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Atoms in their meetings with the Generals: they've now lost three in a row.

Annandale's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Annandale will venture away from home to take on Westfield at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Westfield's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Washington-Liberty, they will head out on the road to challenge Centreville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
