Baseball Recap: Canyon Del Oro Picks Up 21st Straight Win at Home

Canyon del Oro waltzed into their match on Monday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They blew past the Casa Grande Cougars 13-2. Considering the Dorados have won 11 games by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Francisco Rivero was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Encinas, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Canyon del Oro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Casa Grande only posted an OBP of .263.

Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Casa Grande, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.
