Softball Recap: Chickasaw Takes a Loss

Chickasaw lost against Vigor back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Chickasaw lost 21-10 to Vigor.

Chickasaw saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ariel Maye-Gill, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs Maye-Gill has posted since back in February of 2024. Another was Breanna Forrester, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Even though they lost, Chickasaw always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .588 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Chickasaw's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-1. As for Vigor, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Looking ahead, Chickasaw will welcome Washington County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give Chickasaw their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Vigor, they will head out on the road to challenge Citronelle at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
