Jefferson hadn't done well against Canutillo recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Silver Foxes came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 5-2. For the Silver Foxes, this counts as revenge for the 21-4 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Yazmeen De La Paz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks.
