Basketball Recap: Rock Ridge Takes a Loss

Rock Ridge lost against Loudoun Valley back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rock Ridge Phoenix fell just short of the Loudoun Valley Vikings by a score of 37-35. While losing is never fun, the Phoenix can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 298th, while the Vikings are ranked 108th).

Rock Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Loudoun Valley, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rock Ridge will square off against John Champe at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Rock Ridge is facing John Champe at the right time seeing as John Champe is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Loudoun Valley, they are taking a road trip to face off against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Heritage will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Loudoun Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
