Jemison waltzed into their game on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They escaped with a win against the Maplesville Red Devils by the margin of a single free throw, 51-50. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Red Devils, too.

Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nehemiah Mccary, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. With that strong performance, Mccary is now averaging an impressive 2.3 blocks per game. Another player making a difference was Chris Simon, who posted seven points and five assists.

Jemison's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Maplesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Coincidentally, Jemison and Maplesville will both be playing Thorsby the next time they take the court. Jemison will head out to face Thorsby at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Maplesville will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
