Collinsville and O'Fallon are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2021, but not for long. The Collinsville Kahoks will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the O'Fallon Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Saturday, Collinsville didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against MICDS, but they still walked away with a 64-60 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Kahoks' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 126th in Illinois, while the Rams are ranked 46th in Missouri).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Collinsville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Donovan Coates, who went 8 for 18 to rack up 22 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Stanley Carnahan, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, O'Fallon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-60 heartbreaker at the hands of Vianney. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (56), the Panthers still had to take the loss.

Collinsville now has a winning record of 14-13. As for O'Fallon, their loss dropped their record down to 7-19.

Collinsville might still be hurting after the 59-38 defeat they got from O'Fallon in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Collinsville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
