Basketball Recap: Overton Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Overton entered their tilt with Brady on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They secured a 42-36 W over the Brady Eagles. Overton has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Brady, too.

Overton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gracen Hughes led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Hughes is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played. Halynn Hughes was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

Overton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Brady, they dropped their record down to 7-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Overton will venture away from home to take on St. Patrick's at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brady, they will welcome Arthur County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
