It was a good run, but Victory Baptist unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a blow against the Franklin Road Christian Minutemen, falling 61-18. While losing is never fun, the Warrior can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 412th in Georgia, while the Minutemen are ranked 106th in Tennessee).

Franklin Road Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lakelyn Dempsey, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine assists. Dempsey has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Emma Dugger was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 14 boards.

Victory Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Franklin Road Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season.

Victory Baptist has already played their next contest, a 47-22 loss against Valley Christian Academy on the 31st. As for Franklin Road Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-37 victory against Central Christian Academy on the 31st.
