Basketball Recap: Marshwood Comes Up Short

After flying high against Massabesic last Friday, Marshwood came back down to earth. The Marshwood Hawks fell 48-37 to the Noble Knights on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Knights are ranked fourth).

Marshwood's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Noble, they pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season.

Marshwood will welcome Kennebunk at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kennebunk will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Marshwood surely won't give up without a fight. As for Noble, they will head out to square off against Bonny Eagle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
