Football Recap: Chisholm Longhorns vs. Perry Maroons
There's no place like home for Chisholm, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down the Perry Maroons 28-14 on Friday. For the Longhorns, this counts as revenge for the 12-8 win the Maroons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2023.
Andrew Kukuk and Whelan Carson certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Kukuk gained 117 total yards and a touchdown, while Carson picked up 107 receiving yards. Carson's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.
Chisholm's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Perry, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chisholm will head out to face off against Crooked Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last five games Crooked Oak has played have been within three points, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Perry, they will square off against Millwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Perry is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 35 points per game this season.
